Transmedia involves building a unified story universe that moves and evolves seamlessly between multiple platforms, taking advantage of the unique storytelling and learning possibilities native to each one.

FlickerLab has been a pioneer in charting this new territory, leveraging our own proprietary live animation toolset, a deep experience base in producing on every platform, and a unique strategic vision of how to most effectively create meaningful content in this new platform-hopping media landscape. Kit Laybourne, a key creative force behind such network launches as Nickelodeon and Oxygen, is now launching a cross-platform sports and health network for kids. FlickerLab is providing integrated transmedia support to the new network, including transmedia graphics branding, creation of original shows, animation and live action production and post-production, and the build out of a powerful real time production pipeline based around our FlickerLive Suite.

FlickerLab created a series of animations for broadcast, web and even a live animated satellite media tour for the American Heart Association’s “Face the Fats” campaign. The campaign featured the Bad Fats Brothers as well as The Better Fats Sisters and aimed to teach the differences between good and bad fats and help people maintain a healthy diet.

KATJAKAJ AND BENTEBENT

FlickerLab built a complete transmedia universe for Katjakaj and Bentebent, including an interactive exploration and game site including our Animtoon software, 26 x 5 minute linear episodes, and a live animated show using our AnimCast live animation system. The website and show have run in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland, and Israel. The website is currently online on Danish Broadcaster DR.
